What was the highlight of Montañita Hostel

It was ok-ish, I'm a pretty flexible traveler, but I would not go back here again.

Relatively good location.

Breakfast was really cheap. Also the kitchen was not clean in general. Next to that, from the three showers only one was working properly. Bed was covered with plastic underneath the sheets, also around the pillows.

Friendly staff, nicely located between metro station and the area where all the bars are. Everything within easy reach by foot. Nice and small hostel that makes you easily feel home and comfortable. Reasonable price and nice common area with balcony. I would go there again.

The private room with shared bathroom did not have anything to hang clothes or a towel. The washing basins are quite high and in the middle of the corridor, and the automatic lights (there and in the toilet) turn off every few seconds until you move enough to make them switch on again. This is not really a problem, but could use some improvement.

Nice hostel!

Comfy beds and entire hostel was very clean. Nice common area to chill, lots of outlets everywhere! Hot shower. Fast WiFi. Nice area, close to metro and the rest of El Poblado. Good breakfast. Friendly staff!

Not enough room/ no hooks in the dorm to store or put your stuff on. No hook to hang towel/ clothes in the showers.

Cheap place in a good location.

Cheap place in a good location. Nice and helpful staff.

Bed wasn't comfortable, had some foil under the linens. Room was quite noisy, showers could be cleaned more often.

The hostel it’s ok, the staff is really nice and helpful and...

The hostel it’s ok, the staff is really nice and helpful and the breakfast is amazing, Patricia is a super nice woman preparing you food with love! The location is also really good. The only thing I didn’t like (personal feeling) is that in the dorm there’s no privacy, the bed are fully open, no curtains and is a thing that I really love when I am sharing a room! But all the rest was perfect!

Hostel was cheap and close to the metro station.

Room advertised as having ac but this did not function. Room was also cramped so when full very little space for bags etc.

good location: 10 min walk from metro station poblado; nice and caring receptionists; included breakfast with fresh fruits

under the duvet cover the pillow and mattress were covered in plastic which was strange to sleep on; common areas were okay but not too clean; strange smell in the room

Noisy

Everything was clean, the common room is nice and the location was in a good neighbourhood

Constant noise every night made it impossible to sleep well; there was the loud buzzer of people trying to get back into the hostel at all hours of day and night, there was a party until early hours of the morning one night which hostel staff did nothing to stop, someone playing music/chanting videos early in the morning right outside the room. The breakfast is terrible compared to other hostel breakfasts and there is nowhere really to eat it as the staff were always in there eating instead. The condition of the facilities is poor overall, such as nowhere to change for showers and also the showers themselves not good. We arranged with a member of staff for the airport shuttle to pick us up upon arrival, however the driver didn’t turn up and we ended up having to get a taxi instead. Generally would not recommend staying here, there are plenty of better hostels in the area.

Avoid P3 room, the rest is fine

Location was great! Very close to the metro. Hot water showers. Very clean.

Room was next to the toilets and showers and had a window giving on the kitchen where people opened the lights and talked late.

Wasn't my kind of hostel

The hostel is clean and nice.

The hostel has sensor based lights which means you can't turn on the light by yourself, took a shower and after a few minutes the lights turned off and it stayed dark until I finished.
